Internship Program Initiated!

Savannah Barry recently started as our new Internship Program Coordinator! This position was approved in the 2019 Budget when the Board of Supervisors expressed their interest and continued support to implement an Internship Program at the Township. Savannah's primary objective is to create a methodical action plan for recruiting interns to assist with Township projects.

Savannah will assist the Assistant to the Manager Centrice Martin in designing recruitment and marketing materials, engaging with department heads to inventory a list of 2020 projects, programs and activity to understand possible internship opportunities within the Township. She will also assist with preparing a strategic plan for outreach and community partnerships with academic institutions. 

This summer, Barry just finished an internship with the New York Yankees where she worked in sales & communication. Savannah recently studied abroad in Italy and was President of her sorority and spent much of her term advocating for women’s empowerment within the Greek community. This semester, Barry is involved in Lion's Caucus - a group of students who advocate for Penn State on the legislative level. She enjoys snowboarding, fishing, and sports in her free time.
