Ferguson Township Attended Lock Haven University Career Fair
On Thursday, February 6, Ferguson Township attended the Lock Haven University Career Fair from 3 - 6. The Career Fair was open to the public and organizations such as CareerLink, Mount Nittany Hospital were in attendance. Ferguson raised awareness on the importance of local government to future leaders who may not realize all the great things municipal government provides to its residents. Assistant to the Manager, Centrice Martin and Communications Coordinator, Nick Fugaro also engaged with students, graduates, and job-seekers about our upcoming internship program, a Community Engagement Assistant, for Spring 2020. The Community Engagement Assistant will collaborate with the Public Works Department and the Administration Departments to foster awareness and community engagement in the Township's Stormwater Fee Program.
One representative from Mount Nittany Hospital commented on how much traffic and engagement was generated at Ferguson's Booth and inquired how they can generate the same kind of traffic at their own booth! In addition, staff spoke with a Political Science Professor at Lock Haven University who was interested in relaying Ferguson Township Opportunities to all his students.
