Planning & Zoning Director
Ferguson Township, Centre County, PA (19,309 population), seeks a collaborative and resourceful leader for its Planning and Zoning Department. The Planning and Zoning Director will provide leadership, direction, and guidance in the Township’s oversight of all planning, subdivision, and land development within the Township. The Director will report to the Township Manager and will supervise and have the support of a Community Planner, Zoning Administrator, Ordinance Enforcement Officer, and Staff Assistant. Salary range: $94,766 – $142,148.

Stormwater Engineer
The Stormwater Engineer provides professional work in the field of civil engineering, specifically pertaining to stormwater management, including designing and reviewing systems to manage surface runoff, hydrology, and hydraulics. This includes designing and reviewing designs of stormwater basins, BMPs, pipes, and other infrastructure. The Stormwater Engineer also manages the stormwater fee program. This position involves a great deal of interaction with the public. This position requires a Bacholor's Degree in Civil Engineering, minimum four (4) years of experience in civil engineering and stormwater management, a solid foundation of mathematical principles including algebra, calculus, and trigonometry to perform engineering calculations using computer programs, and a Pennsylvania Professional Engineer License.

Engineering Technician
The Engineering Technician provides technical work related to the field of civil engineering. The job involves surveying, computer drafting for engineering drawings for construction, and construction inspection of public works projects including roads, parks, traffic signals, storm sewer systems and storm water basins and structures, lighting, buildings, and other public works projects. High School degree required; 2-year Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in a related field preferred; work experience may be substituted for education; demonstrated AutoCAD proficiency, minimum 2 years’ experience; surveying experience or ability to demonstrate surveying competence within 1 year; inspection experience or ability to demonstrate inspection competence within 1 year.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary range is $55,530 - $80,118.

This position requires a person with ability to perform a wide variety of outdoor duties involving manual labor, semi-skilled trade work and skilled trade work. Also, trimming, raking and digging, and operating small equipment such as grass trimmers and mowers.
Individual must be a minimum of 18 years old, possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, no criminal record and have at least a high school education.

School Crossing Guard (Part-Time) for Radio Park Elementary School
Ferguson Township is accepting applications for a part-time crossing guard position. This is public safety work in guiding children across roadways. Work involves creating gaps in traffic flow to allow school children attending Radio Park Elementary School at Martin Street and Cherry Lane only on days that school is in session with times as noted:
- 7:40 a.m. - 8:10 a.m. (Arrival time is 7:30 a.m.)
- 2:40 p.m. - 3:10 p.m. (Arrival time is 2:30 p.m.)
