Help our plow drivers access your streets

Date: January 29, 2019

Ferguson Township Public Works asks residents to be mindful of our plows. Our drivers will be salting and plowing even when snow is less than two inches. We ask you to help them access your street by moving any parked cars off the street.

In addition, residents are reminded to shovel sidewalks after any amount of snowfall within 24 hours after the snow has ended. See additional details below. Thank you for helping.

No on-street parking during snowfall

Ferguson Township residents and businesses are reminded that when snowfall reaches a depth of two inches or more, vehicles may not be parked on the streets. Streets must be kept clear to allow Ferguson Township Public Works crews to salt and plow them. Help our snow plow drivers get through so they can salt and plow. You and your neighbors are depending on them. Vehicles that remain will be ticketed or towed.

In addition, please clear sidewalks of snow and ice of ANY amount within 24 hours after the snowfall has ended. We ask that residents clear the entire width of the sidewalk, as well as clear ramps and crosswalks at intersections that pose a hazard to individuals with disabilities.

Ferguson Township appreciates residents and businesses that are clearing these areas promptly and properly.

Also keep in mind that residents and businesses are not permitted to shovel, plow or blow snow from driveways, parking lots and/or sidewalks onto the streets.

As always, the Township thanks you for your cooperation.
