Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors seeks applicants for vacancy board position

At the Regular Meeting on January 7, 2019, the Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors accepted the resignation of Supervisor Sara Carlson, who represented Ward III. The board has 30 days from that date to appoint a successor to fill the vacancy.  

Should the board be unable to fill the vacancy by February 6, the vacancy board will have 15 days to appoint a successor. The vacancy board will consist of the four remaining Supervisors and one registered voter of the Township. The appointed elector will chair the vacancy board.

If the vacancy board is unable to appoint a successor within 15 days, Centre County Court of Common Pleas will fill the vacancy. 

The Board of Supervisors is accepting applications from registered voters in Ferguson Township to serve on the Vacancy Board until 5 pm on Thursday, January 17. The appointment will be made at the Board of Supervisors' regular meeting on Monday, January 21.
