Citizens' Police Academy offers opportunity to learn about policing

Ferguson Township Police will be participating as instructors in the Citizens' Police Academy, a free series of eight hands-on training sessions that give the public an opportunity to learn about local policing in a fun and safe environment. Sessions will meet on Monday nights October 15 through December 10 and take place at various locations that will include the Ferguson Township Municipal Building.

Ferguson Township Police Sergeant Ryan Hendrick will be teaching a session on Driving Under the Influence (DUI) at the Patton Township PD on October 29 and another on Emergency Driving at CPI in Pleasant Gap on October 22. Additional sessions by members of the FTPD will be announced.

Open to everyone 18 years and older, subject to a background check.
