Police Advisory for Pine Grove Mills residents: attempted break-ins; stolen gun recovered

Date: May 9, 2018

Ferguson Township Police are advising Pine Grove Mills residents of a number of attempted break-ins in the community. Police arrested Zelia Vera Fogelsanger, 18, of Pine Grove Mills, on Wednesday, May 9, and charged her with criminal trespass at a residence on Lois Lane.  Fogelsanger was placed in the Centre County Correctional facility on $50,000 bail, as additional charges are pending.

A video surveillance camera identified the suspect attempting to enter an occupied residence by opening a locked entry door. The suspect was videotaped loitering and prowling around the residence on both May 7 and on May 9.

The home’s owner reported that a suspicious person – a white female unknown to the resident, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and carrying a black bag – attempted to open the front door to his residence. The female was last seen walking east from the residence. The homeowner advised police that he had video footage of the female attempting to enter the residence on both occasions.

Connected with this incident, police have recovered a gun – a blue frame Ruger LCP .380 – that was stolen out of a locked vehicle.  Anyone with items missing in the Pine Grove Area is asked to call the FTPD at 1.800.479.0050 or at police@twp.ferguson.pa.us
