Public Meeting 1: Stormwater User Fee Feasibility Study

Date: March 21, 2018
Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Working with a consultant, Elizabeth Treadway of Amec Foster Wheeler -- in partnership with Gannett Fleming -- Ferguson Township staff have undertaken a study to evaluate the feasibility of establishing a user fee in the Township to pay for stormwater management. The questions being considered are:

  • the problems, needs and opportunities of the current stormwater program
  • why change the current funding method?
  • what are the priorities in the next 5 years and the long-range goals?
  • what is the best organizational structure to deliver services to the community?
  • what program elements require additional funding?
  • what is the best way to pay for stormwater management?

Ferguson Township staff and Treadway will host the first of two public meetings on the stormwater user fee feasibility study from 5:30 to 7:30 pm Wednesday, March 21. A second public meeting is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 pm Wednesday, April 18

The meetings are scheduled in the Main Meeting Room of the Ferguson Township Municipal Building, 3147 Research Drive.

Open to anyone in the community, these open houses will be an opportunity to learn what this project is and the options being considered to pay for stormwater management.
