PennDOT to host public plans display on improvements to 26/45 intersection

Date: November 8, 2017

PennDOT District 2-0 staff and consultant will host a public plans display to review alternatives for improvements at the intersection of State Route 26 (Pine Grove Road / West College Avenue) and State Route 45 (Shingletown Road).  The plans display will be held from 6 to 7 pm on Monday November 20, 2017 in the Main Meeting Room of the Ferguson Township Municipal Building, 3147 Research Drive.

Immediately following the public plans display, during the Board of Supervisors Meeting that starts at 7 pm, November 20, PennDOT and its consultant will make a formal presentation to the Board of Supervisors regarding the alternatives for improvements to the intersection.

The potential improvements to the intersection are currently in the preliminary engineering phase.  After an alternative is selected, the next phase of the project will be final design, which is also funded.  Currently, there are no funds for right-of-way (ROW) acquisition or construction; however it is anticipated that the ROW acquisition and construction will be fully funded in the next Centre County MPO Transportation Improvement Program, which is currently being developed.
