Honored on the anniversary of 9/11, FTPD thanks the community

Date: September 11, 2017

The Ferguson Township Police Department thanks those who brought cards and treats Monday in honor of
the 16th anniversary of September 11.  A note from the Ferguson Township Lions Club thanked us for our
service, in remembrance of all those lost 16 years ago, particularly the first responders who sacrificed
their lives trying to help others. "Thank you for being there for us and our community."

Thank you to the Lions Club, State College Evangelical Free Church, Wegmans, which donated the cake, and to the Hunter's Chase/Foxpointe neighbors who also made a monetary donation to the Hurricane Harvey/Irma victims on behalf of the FTPD and Alpha Fire Company.

The FTPD truly appreciates your honoring our officers on this solemn occasion through your notes, treats,
and charity toward others.
