On September 5, 2017, Ferguson Township Police Department officers were summoned to a local restaurant to assist officers from the Centre County Probation Office with the arrest of an individual wanted by the probation office.

Giovanni Mazzotta, a 25-year-old male from Pleasant Gap, attempted to flee but was taken into custody.  Mazzotta was in possession of heroin and needles.  Mazzotta was housed in the Centre County Prison.  Additional charges will be filed against Mazzotta.

A male accompanying Mazzotta, Michael Stevens, 25, of State College, ran from the scene but was apprehended after a brief foot chase.  Stevens was wanted by Pennsylvania State Probation and Parole.  He was turned over to Pennsylvania State Probation and Parole Agents.
