Approval of July 13 and July 27, 2015 Meeting Minutes

Review Ash Tree Removal and 2016 Planting Plans for the following streets or neighborhoods: As a follow up to the field view on July 27th, the arborist will review proposed plans for ash tree treatment, ash tree removal, and new planting plans for those streets or neighborhoods identified below:

Greenleaf Manor – ash tree removals and new planting plan

Charleston Drive neighborhood - ash tree removals and new planting plan

Chestnut Ridge Manor – ash tree treatments, removals and new planting plan

Stable Hill (Marjorie Mae and Vairo Boulevard) - ash tree treatments, removals and new planting plan

Cobble Creek – ash tree treatments, removals, and new planting plan

Shellers Bend - ash tree removals and new planting plan

Public Hearing for Tree Removals Set a date and time for public input on 2016 tree removal and replacement planting plans.

Other potential tree removals – report by arborist

Interfaces between the Tree Commission, the Planning Commission, the Zoning Review Board and the Board of Supervisors: The FTTC will review its role interacting with other authorities, boards, and commissions.

A formalized plan for reviewing development plans: The FTTC will discuss its role reviewing land development and subdivision and traditional town development plans and document the procedure in writing.

Arborist report: The Township arborist will report on the tree budget and projected expenses, another possible grant opportunity to fund tree plantings, use of root barrier, other items of interest to the FTTC.

Communications to Commission Members

This is an opportunity for FTTC members to report on any contact by residents regarding FTTC matters.

Future agenda items

Thistlewood Subdivision – review homeowner association concerns regarding street trees and discuss options.

Amendments to subdivision ordinance required on site buffer plantings

Amendments to resolution 2014-24 approved list of street and park tree species, cultivars, and hybrids
