Northland Area Mobility Study

Ferguson Township, in coordination with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), the Centre Area Transportation Authority (CATA), and the Centre Regional Planning Agency, is conducting a transportation mobility study to identify potential improvements in the Northland Area that includes portions of North Atherton Street, Martin Street, Blue Course Drive, Clinton Avenue, Cherry Lane, and Aaron Drive.

The study will identify potential improvements for walking, biking, driving and using transit within the study area.

The study is expected to be completed in spring 2019 when the recommended potential improvements will be shared with the public.

The Township sought public comments on transportation mobility and safety issues and recommendations for improvements in the study area through an online survey that participants completed in October.

The next public meeting will be an open house from 5 to 6:30 pm Monday, March 11, at the Ferguson Township Municipal Building, Conference Room 2.

Questions regarding this study can be directed to Ron Seybert, P.E., Township Engineer, at or at (814) 238-4651.
