The Ferguson Township Board of Supervisors adopted a policy for the appointment of representatives on local and regional authorities, boards, and commissions:

Each new calendar year, current members are asked if they wish to continue. They are not required to re-apply unless they need to report a change to their original application. Every current and prospective member is interviewed in November or December. Appointments are approved and announced at the Board's Organizational Meeting in January.
